Heliostat - solar power
A Heliostat is a device that takes the sun's heat and traps it using a black container that absorbs the heat and then releases up top to turn a turbine and power a generator.
Purpose: A renewable energy source that powers the earth.
Hypothesis: The mirrors should draw heat into the can and spin the turbine.
Materials
1 large plate/container that is flat with curved edges.
A large mirror.
Copper wire(Thick).
Procedure-Cut the mirror into small and mostly equal piece preferably 1 in. to 1.5 in. squares.
Use the wire to make a stand for each mirror and ability to tilt based on sun's position.
