Mirror

anamorphosis Mirror:
Need :
Mirror film sheet or mirror acrylic sheet
Gift wrap tube or pvc tube
Paste the mirror on the tube

Print the anamorphosis picture.
If you want to use your own picture, you can use gimp and invert the picture and create anamorphic mode for the experiment.

Place the mirror at right spot and you can view the clear image of the distorted one in the printed  sheet .

Infinity mirror :

Need : Window film
 Plain glass transparent
round Mirror
Box or make your own wooden box
- Paste the window film on the plain glass
- place the candle inbetween two mirrors and light it up.

=> Partial reflection and full reflection of the mirror creates the infinite images at right angle

 Disappearing elephant/zebra - magic act:
Need :
Vegetable chopping mat
acrylic mirror sheets
popsicle sticks
wood board or cardboard box
Method:
-Cut mirror into thin sheets
- paste them as same width as the popsicle stick on the chopping mat. and cut the areas that arent pasted with mirror.
-create a gate like with the popsicle sheet.
- in the box cut in the sides for the chopping mat to slide through.
- place the animal and slide the mirror through making sure the mirrors are right behind the popiscle gate structure
- burn incense and move the slide to chopping mat so that the mirrors are in between the popsicle sticks.

Fun house mirror for toys :
 Need :
-Paint stirrer from hardware store
-acrylic mirror sheet
- bamboo skewers
Method:
-make a rectangle wood box like structure with the paint stirrers in the same measurement as your mirror sheet
-Drill some hole in the sides for the skewers to be inserted.
-Take the mirror sheet and place them inbetween skewers and make it adjustable
- You can create concave-convex- concave or convex-concave-convex of any combination based on skewers placement
- Use a doll or toy and move it front back to mimic the fun house mirror

Concave/Convex mirror reflection angle

 Need :
-Photoframe bent or curvy
-mirror acrylic sheets
- protractor or print out of protractor
- wooden box
-laser pointer

Method:
- Remove the photoframe edges
- paste the acrylic mirror sheets on both sides
- so one side is convex mirrror and other side is concave mirror
- paste the protractor on top of wooden box or stand
- place the photoframe on top of proctractor
- use the laser pointer on different angles to explain the angle of reflection with plane, concave and convex mirrors

Mirror angle and reflection :

 Need :
-3 candle base mirrors from dollar store
-poster or cardboard
- some blocks of different shapes and color
Method:
-cut the poster/sheet to foldable book
-Paste the mirrors on foldable book
- place them and place the 3rd mirror in the base.
Move the foldable mirror in different angle 90,30,45
- watch the reflection pattern and no of images created

Need :
- Poster cardboard tube or wrapping paper roll tube or pvc pipe
- beer can lid (we used brothers beer lid that came with 6 pack)
- acrylic mirror sheets or 3 rectangle mirror pieces
-some glitter pieces or colorful confetti pieces.
Method:
Cut a hole in one of the can lid as shown and another bigger hole in another can lid as shown in picture

paste the mirrors on a piece of cardboard
insert them at 45 angle inside the bent caps
add the caps to the pvc pipe in opposite direction
