Wheel and Axle-Connections of parts

Image
A wheel and axle is a simple machine, and a very useful one at that. However, not all forms of a wheel and axle are equal. Let's look at the four cases: Wheel is fixed, Axle is fixed, Body is fixed                         In this case, the wheel, axle, and body are all fixed. This case will never work, because the wheel, being attached to the body, cannot rotate at all. This case is similar to, say, pushing a round pair of headphones across a table. The earphones, despite being circular and looking like they are a wheel, will not rotate and will merely slide. _________________________________________________________________________________ Wheel is not fixed, Axle is not fixed, Body is not fixed                    In this case, everything is free moving and does not have solid connections. When you push this, it will spin, but it will be highly unstable. The reas...

Bohr's atom model

Image
Neil Bohr Atom model To build this you need - wooden board ( we used our broken taekwondo boards) Draw Bohrs atom shells and orbitals on the board with a pencil  Method 1: Drill some toothpick size holes and insert toothpicks and cut them and make sure they are atleast 2cm. Method 2: Use drill bit to carve some holes - Use christmas ornaments for Nucleus. Method 1: Use beads with holes to represent Neutrons, Protons and Electrons. Method 2: You can use chinese checker board balls as well. Example. Sodium : 11 protons , 11 neutrons and 11 electrons Nucleus :  Black beads - 11 represents protons Yellow beads - 11 represents Neutrons Electrons: Based on Aufbau principle, Hund rule and Pauli exclusion - K shell -  s orbital - 2 electrons of opposite spins - L shell - s orbital - 2 electrons of opposite spins - L shell - 6 p orbital of opposite spins - M shell - 1 electron  in s orbital  ...
